Making connections is what C2 GPS is all about. On February 24, 2022, C2 GPS supported its board partner, Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend, and the San Patricio EDC in sponsoring a Professional and Skills Trades job fair. The event was held at the Sinton Community Center in Sinton Texas.
The event offered job seekers a chance to meet with over two dozen notable regional employers, including Capital Bearing and Hydraulics, Signet Maritime, Chemours, Haliburton, and AR Energy Services. An estimated 350 job seekers attended the event. San Patricio County is home to a diverse industrial sector featuring energy, chemical, maritime, and industrial manufacturing.
Participating employers provided job seekers with over 1,100 professional and skill trade jobs to the 350+ job seekers that attended the event. Over 80 individuals received onsite interviews and 42 were offered employment during the event.
Several employers commented that the job fair was the most successful they’ve attended since prior to the 2020 Pandemic and were impressed by the motivation of job seekers in attendance.
