Workforce Solutions Golden Crescent staff from WIOA, Business Services, Management, and the Board worked in collaboration with Kathy Hunt from Crossroads Business and Education Connection to plan and execute the GC Career Expo and Job Fair on April 27th and 28th, 2022.
Over two days, there were 18 schools with 641 students that attended the Expo with more than 78 employer booths! Employers were local business from the 7 County Region that varied from chemical plants, healthcare, industrial trades, construction, police, fire departments, EMS, social work, along with many others.
Workforce Staff, including VRS were present offering information on the programs and services offered to young adults. Presentations and hands-on sessions were held throughout the Expo. Many students also enjoyed a tour of PHI Air Medical’s “The Bee” helicopter. Students were also able to take selfies at the selfie-station which included Snap Chat filters set up by WSGC.
